</font> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">In a nutshell, if you have a computer running MS Windows and an email account you can use Security Bulldog.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The following are the detailed requirements to run Security Bulldog.</font></p> <ul> <li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Computer running Windows 95 or higher (95, 98, NT, ME, 2000, XP).</font></li> <li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Any email program able to check POP3 servers (most any email program such as Outlook, Netscape or Eudora).</font></li> <li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Three megabytes of disk storage (very small, approximately the size of two floppies).</font></li> <li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Access to a POP3 email server account (This is by far the most common type of email account).</font></li> <li><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Winsock 2. - Some early versions of Windows 95 came with Winsock 1. <br> If you are running an early version of Windows 95 and have not yet upgraded to Winsock 2 you can download the free update from Microsoft <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/bin/W95ws2setup.exe">here</a>. <br> Security Bulldog will let you know if you are currently using Winsock 1, so you shouldn't have to worry about this.</font></li> </ul> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">If you are currently using email, chances are that Security Bulldog will work for you. </font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">The major exception to this is if you are using a web <i>only</i> email account such as Yahoo.<br> If you have such an account, you can still use Security Bulldog by running a webmail program such as <a rel="nofollow" href="http://www.jmasoftware.com/english/products/web2pop/index.html" target="_blank">Web2Pop</a>.<br> If you have a web based email account with either Hotmail or msn then you can get all the power of Security Bulldog and much more with <a href="../TopDog/Default.htm" target="_top">Top Dog</a>.<br> <a href="../TopDog/Default.htm" target="_top">Top Dog</a> also gives you access to Hotmail and msn accounts.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Another exception to this is if you <i>require</i> the use of IMAP or the <a href="../ExchangeServerFrame.htm">Microsoft Exchange Server</a> protocol.<br> Note: <a href="../ExchangeServerFrame.htm">Microsoft Exchange Server</a> also includes support for the POP protocol.
