subject lines that are <a href="../../../Features/WhitelistsFrame.htm" target="_self">whitelisted</a> (pre-approved).<br> If someone send you an email with a subject line that is <a href="../../../Features/WhitelistsFrame.htm" target="_self">whitelisted</a> then that email is always allowed through.<br> </font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> <b></b></font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><br> </font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><b><a name="LiteApprSubjCheckBox"></a>Add subject lines of email I send to list of Approved Subject Lines.</b></font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">With this option, you can add the subject line from your outgoing mail to a list of approved subject lines. <span style='font-family:Arial'><br> The purpose of this is to avoid screening a message that is a reply to a message that you have sent out. <br> So for example, if you send a message to <font size="-1"><b>CustomerSupport@Foo.com</b></font> with the subject line <b><font size="-1">"Please help me"</font></b>, and <font size="-1"><b>Susan@Foo.com </b></font>replies to your request with a message entitled <b><font size="-1">"Re:Please help me"</font></b>, you would be assured of receiving her reply.</span></font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">To get the most out of this functionality, it is generally a good idea to send messages with descriptive subject lines. <br> So, instead of sending a message with the subject line <span style='font-family:Arial'><b><font size="-1">"hi"</font></b><font size="-1">,</font><b><font size="-1"> </font></b>it would be better to use the subject line <b><font size="-1">"hi Bob"</font></b>.<b><font size="-1"> </font></b></span></font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Subject lines in this list can be set to expire (be deleted) after a number of days of your choice. <br> This avoids the need to manually edit this list because it has gotten too large. <br> Normally, you would set the expiry time to be the maximum number of days you would expect to wait before receiving a reply to a message you sent.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style='font-family:Arial'><b><br> <a name="LiteEditApprSubjButton"></a>Edit List of Approved Subject Lines...</b></span></font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><span style='font-family:Arial'>You can manually add, edit or delete items from this list using this Button</span></font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">As with all lists, you can also specify <a href="../../WildCardsFrame.htm" target="_self">wildcards</a> in your list of subject lines. <br> <br> </font><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Note: Top Dog ignores any "re:" or "fwd:" that may appear at the beginning of the subject line of incoming messages.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><br> <b><a name="BannedSubjGroupBox"></a>Banned Subject Lines.</b></font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"> Top Dog also keeps a list of <a href="../../../Features/WhitelistsFrame.htm#Blacklists" target="_self">blacklisted</a> subject lines that you never want to receive.<br> When you categorize and email as commercial spam Top Dog automatically blacklists the subject line.<br> This way if you receive spam with the same subject line in the future Top Dog will know that you are not interested in reading it.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><br> <b><a name="LiteBannedSubjRadioGroup"></a>Action To Take.</b></font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">Use this option to tell Top Dog what you would like to happen when you receive an email with a banned subject line.<br> The recommend action is to send the email to the <a href="../StatusTabFrame.htm#ViewPurgatoryButton" target="_self">Doghouse</a> since this will give you a chance to change your mind later.<br> Email in the <a href="../StatusTabFrame.htm#ViewPurgatoryButton" target="_self">Doghouse</a> will be deleted after the number of days specified on the <a href="../ReceivingTabFrame.htm#PurgatoryTimeMaskEdit" target="_self">receiving tab</a>.</font></p> <p><font face="Arial, Helvetica,
