Help is available for each tab found in Top Dog.

The Top Dog program is laid out in a series of tabbed notebook pages. Each page contains a collection of controls which govern Top Dog's behavior and indicate what Top Dog is currently doing.

Help is available within Top Dog by hovering over the control in question.
Help messages for that control will appear in the help panel at the bottom of the screen.

Modes

Top Dog can be made to operate in one of three modes: "Lite", "Advanced", or "Power User".

The modes give you different decreasing number of default settings.

• In Lite mode one can start using Top Dog immediately without specifying any settings.
• In Advanced mode you can to specify additional settings for each option.
• Power User mode gives you the most options allowing you to set specific ports, create custom rules, etc...

You can switch from one mode to the other at any time.
This gives Top Dog extreme flexibility and can be used very effectively by users new to email and computers as well as the most advanced computer nerd.
