Top Dog

Top Dog protects your privacy.

Your email reader can be made to download content from the internet when you open or preview your email.
In addition to presenting a security threat this can also seriously compromise your privacy.
Top Dog will block any unauthorized attempts to download content from the internet.

How does that work?

Email sent by spammers and hackers can contain references to pictures or other content.
When the email is viewed your email reader will download this content from the internet just like it does when you view a website.
The problem with this is that the reference often includes your email address or some other indication of who you are.
When the spammer or hacker's computer receives this request they know that you have opened the email they have sent you.
As a result you can be assured of receiving more spam.
In addition to this the spammer or hacker can also read and place cookies on your computer which can be used to track your internet usage.
They will also learn your Internet address (IP), what operating system you are using, the version as well as what security patches you have or have not installed.
This information can be used by hackers to help them hack into your computer.

Top Dog strips all such unwanted content from your email before you get it.
Top Dog keeps a copy of the original unmodified email which you can retrieve with a click of your mouse.
