The Senders Tab controls
how Spam Hound deals with email depending on who is sending it.
Approved Senders.
Spam Hound keeps a list of people
that are whitelisted
(pre-approved) to send you email.
If someone is whitelisted
then email from them is always allowed through.
Edit
List of Approved Senders...
Press this button to edit your
list of whitelisted senders.
You can manually remove people from the list if you no longer want to
receive mail from them or add people who are not yet in your address book.
Manually editing this list is not usually necessary since Spam Hound automatically
updates the list any time you categorize an email as personal.
As with all lists, you can
also specify wildcards
in your list of Approved Senders.
This is useful if you
want to receive mail from anyone in a particular company.
For example if you do a lot of business with MomsCookies.com you could
whitelist *@MomsCookies.com to ensure that
no mail from that company is accidentally mistaken for spam.
Banned Senders.
Spam Hound also keeps a list
of blacklisted
senders who you never want to receive mail from.
When you categorize and email as commercial spam Spam Hound automatically
blacklists the sender.
This way if that sender sends you more spam in the future Spam Hound will
know that you are not interested in reading it.
The Spam Hound will send mail from banned senders to the Doghouse,
this will give you a chance to change your mind later.

Press this button to edit your
list of blacklisted
senders.
You can manually add people from the list if you no longer want to receive
mail from them or remove people who you have changed your mind about.
Manually editing this list is not usually necessary since Spam Hound automatically
updates the list any time you categorize an email as spam.
As with all lists, you can
also specify wildcards
in your list of Banned Senders.
This is useful if you
receive a lot of spam from a certain domain or company but from different
people in that company.
For example you could blacklist *@FreeViagra.com
if that company kept sending you spam.
