Apocgraphy cannot intercept non-POP Exchange Server email.
Microsoft Exchange Server supports
several protocols.
Protocols are "languages" that are used to communicate between
your email reading program and your email server.
One of the languages that Exchange Server speaks is "Microsoft Exchange
Transport" Apocgraphy cannot currently process mail using this protocol.
How can I tell?
If you look at your "Services"
you Exchange Server shows up as simply "Exchange Server".
POP accounts appear as "Internet
email - Account Name".
You can find your services
by either:
- Right clicking on your Outlook
icon and selecting "Properties".
- From your control Panel
choose "Mail".
- From within Outlook choose
the menu item Tools->Services.
The Solution
Because Exchange Server speaks
both POP/SMTP and Microsoft Exchange Transport you can change your account
on an Exchange Server to the POP protocol and use a local message store.
A side effect of this is that you must store your message in a file on
your computer.
Another side effect is that you cannot access shared folders that reside
on the Exchange Server.
